After all, over the past 115 years, aviation has progressed significantly from the modest beginnings in the Wright Brothers' era to the sophisticated and advanced training programs we see today, fundamentally shaping the landscape of structured aviation education around the world.

The Birth of Flight

The inception of flight, a milestone in human history, can be traced back to the visionaries, the Wright Brothers. In the year 1910, they established one of the earliest flight schools in the heart of Montgomery, Alabama, only an hour or so from Blue Skies Above Flight School. They then set the stage for what would later evolve into a comprehensive system of aviation education. This pioneering institution later blossomed into a vibrant hub for aviators, producing notable figures like Hap Arnold and Thomas DeWitt Milling who have left indelible marks on the field of aviation.
